In the study abroad context, a Band refers to a score or level used to measure a student’s English language proficiency, particularly in the IELTS exam. The IELTS test gives scores in the form of bands, ranging from 1 (non-user) to 9 (expert user). These bands reflect the student’s ability to understand, speak, read, and write in English, and are often required for admission to international universities and visa applications.

Cancellation or Reschedule Policy for the IELTS Exam
 If you need to cancel or reschedule your IELTS exam, please note the following policies:
1. Cancellation or Rescheduling More Than Five Weeks Before the Test Date:
You are eligible for a refund, but an administrative fee will be deducted from the total
amount.
2. Cancellation or Rescheduling Within Five Weeks of the Test Date:
You will forfeit the entire test fee unless you can provide evidence of a serious medical
condition.
3. Medical Exceptions:
If you are unable to take the test due to medical reasons, you must submit a valid
medical certificate within five days of the test date. In such cases, a refund will be
processed after deducting applicable local administrative fees.
